ABOUT DYNAMIC YOGA
DYNAMIC YOGA Dynamic Yoga brings together the aspects of precision & flow for maximum benefits... The ultimate in Yoga Feel Good, Dynamic Yoga with YOGARANI | Rani Sheilagh Dunn! The Dynamic Yoga method and tradition focuses on combining the precision & alignment of 'Iyengar' and the flow and strength of 'Ashtanga' and 'Vinyasa' - going deep & strong. And also provides a step-by-step method and approach for all levels and abilities. (*For more information on Iyengar, Ashtanga & Vinyasa Yoga, see descriptions below.) Dynamic Yoga is a challenging & energetic form and method of yoga bringing together the classical aspects of yoga practice into one. Dynamic Yoga combines the elements of Classical Yoga incorporating posture (asana) work with exact alignment, flow and movement (vinyasa), breath awareness (bhanda and pranayama), and utilises a step-by-step (vinyasakrama) approach to practice so anyone can do it! This classical Yoga practice also highlights the importance of "Ash-tanga" or the "8 limbs" or stages in yoga philosophy as outlined by Patanjali, and is by nature Dynamic. In a contemporary context the Dynamic Yoga method comes from Godfrey Devereux. * ASHTANGA Yoga is a strong, energetic, challenging form of yoga which comes from Shri K Pattabhi Jois. This system is based and made up of a specific sequence of yoga postures, incorporating breath, movement, and flow with the inclusion of vinyasa. * VINYASA Yoga focuses on flowing movement from posture to posture with the breath, for challenge and strength. Vinyasa (meaning 'flow') refers to the classical movement and flow from one posture (asana) to the next. * IYENGAR Yoga is a deep form of yoga which comes from Mr. B.K.S. Iyengar. This system has strong focus on exact alignment with each posture being held for an extended period of time. Iyengar yoga traditionally highlights maintaining and refining precision within the stillness of each yoga posture. YOGARANI Classes are fun and challenging, Come with an open mind!
